Rule II

How banked Codex resets work

A banked reset is saved to your account for later use. Receiving one does not automatically refill your current usage window.

What is a banked Codex reset?

A saved grant is different from an automatic reset

An automatic or global reset is applied directly to eligible usage limits. A banked reset is a grant held by your account until you apply it or it expires. They are different event types in the LimitReset archive.

How to check banked reset expiry

Use the Usage page for your account

Eligibility, delivery timing, affected windows, and expiration depend on the specific offer, plan, workspace, and region. Open Settings → Usage in Codex and review the offer shown there.

What to do when your Codex limit is exhausted

Confirm availability before using the grant

LimitReset can record that a public banked-reset announcement occurred, but it cannot see whether your account received it. Confirm availability and expiry in Codex before planning work around it.
